New claims have emerged regarding the death of Arabesque artist Güllü. Journalist Emrullah Erdinç stated that according to camera footage, Güllü entered her daughter's room before falling and "reacted after seeing something." The incident is being investigated by the prosecutor's office as a 'suspicious death.'
The beloved figure of Arabesque music, the artist known by the nickname Güllü, Gül Tut, passed away on September 26, 2025, after falling from the window of her fifth-floor apartment in the Çınarcık district of Yalova. The death of the 51-year-old artist caused a significant public outcry, and the initial statements made after the incident, along with newly emerged camera footage, sparked controversy.
THE FAMILY FIRST SAID "ACCIDENT"
The artist's death was announced by her son Tuğberk Yağız via social media, while her daughter Tuyan Ülkem stated that her mother lost her balance and fell while dancing to a Romani tune. However, law enforcement agencies classified the situation as a "suspicious incident" after reviewing the camera footage from the time of the event.
"GÜLLÜ SAW SOMETHING WHEN SHE ENTERED THE ROOM"
Journalist Emrullah Erdinç shared the unknown aspects of the incident during a live broadcast on Ekol TV. Erdinç noted that in the camera footage, Güllü entered her daughter's room before falling and reacted after seeing something, stating: "The initial statement was, 'My mother was dancing to a Romani tune, and suddenly she fell.' However, there is no such environment at the scene. The footage does not show Güllü in a state to dance. She enters the room, sees something, and reacts. Then, 'bang bang' sounds are heard. Perhaps she wanted to close the window but couldn't. The most logical explanation is that she fell while trying to close the sliding window."
NO TRAUMA MARKS IN AUTOPSY
Erdinç emphasized that there were no signs of struggle or trauma in the autopsy reports. However, he stated that it could not be determined through the autopsy whether Güllü was pushed, saying: "If there had been foreign contact, a DNA result could have provided evidence. However, since she was in constant contact with the people she lived with in the same house, any possible push cannot be proven outside of the camera recording."
The Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is conducting a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
