ASSIGNED AS ASSISTANT WHILE THE TRIAL CONTINUES
Fidan Gül, who served as the Director of Culture and Sports during Ekrem İmamoğlu's presidency within the Beylikdüzü Municipality; while he was the director of a nursery under the Beylikdüzü Municipality, it was learned that he started his duty as the director of social assistance affairs in the Beykoz Municipality in June 2024, despite being on trial for tampering with a tender at the Büyükçekmece Courthouse, and from October 2024 onwards, he was assigned as the Deputy Mayor by the detained mayor Alaattin Köseler, also being responsible for the social assistance affairs.
WHO IS FIDAN GÜL?
He was born in 1979 in Elazığ. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Elazığ. In 1997, he was accepted to the Department of History at Istanbul University Faculty of Arts, graduating in 2001. Between 2001-2002, he completed a non-thesis master's degree in Educational Sciences (Pedagogical Formation) at Istanbul University Social Sciences Institute, while also working as a History Teacher at Küçükçekmece İsmet Aktar Anatolian Technical High School during that period.
Between 2012-2013, he completed a non-thesis master's degree in Educational Management and Supervision at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Social Sciences Institute. From 2002 to 2014, he worked as an Educational Administrator in various private schools and tutoring centers in Küçükçekmece, Beylikdüzü, and Bakırköy. After serving as the Director of Culture and Social Affairs at Beylikdüzü Municipality in 2014, he was appointed to the Directorate of Sports Affairs in 2017. Fidan Gül served as the Nursery Director starting from 2023. In May 2024, he was appointed as the Deputy Mayor of Beykoz by Köseler.
