The Deputy Mayor of Beykoz, Özlem Vural Gürzel, who resigned from the CHP, has joined the ranks of the AK Party. In a statement regarding the matter, President Erdoğan said, "We are delighted that Özlem Vural Gürzel and our municipal council member have joined the AK Party family."

Speaking at the closing program of the AK Party Organization Academy at the Haliç Congress Center, President Erdoğan announced that Özlem Vural Gürzel, the Deputy Mayor of Beykoz who resigned from the CHP, has joined the AK Party. Last month, Aydın Metropolitan Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu had also joined the ranks of the AK Party.

In his statement regarding the matter, Erdoğan said, "Today we are experiencing the joy of Özlem Vural Gürzel, the Deputy Mayor of Beykoz, and our municipal council member joining the AK Party family. 9 new names have joined our party.
