President Erdoğan, who made evaluations regarding the gold and money found in the agricultural warehouse belonging to the Manavgat Municipality, stated, "Yesterday, a new footage related to the Manavgat scandal was released. Just like before, euros and dollars are in the spotlight again." Continuing his remarks, Erdoğan directed the question, "What will the gentleman say about this footage?" referring to CHP leader Özel.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the closing program of the AK Party Organization Academy held at the Haliç Congress Center. Erdoğan harshly criticized CHP Chairman Özgür Özel based on the footage recorded during the corruption operation against the Manavgat Municipality.
"HE COULDN'T EVEN SHARE A 32-SECOND VIDEO"
Referring to Özel's previous statements, Erdoğan said, "The CHP Chairman accused our party of covering up crimes despite the fingerprints of his friends, whom he vouched for, being found on top of baklava boxes. He even said, 'There is a thirty-two-hour video recording. I watched it.' If you have such footage, I called on him to submit it to the judiciary. It has been exactly 62 days, and he hasn't shared even a 32-second video, let alone thirty-two hours. He fell short of the slander he directed at our party, the judiciary, and the security forces," he stated.
"EUROS, DOLLARS, AND GOLD BARS IN THE SPOTLIGHT"
Erdoğan also noted that new footage related to the Manavgat scandal has been released, saying, "While Özgür Efendi is thinking about how to get out of this, another video came out yesterday. Again, euros, dollars, and gold bars are in the spotlight. Let's see what the gentleman will say about this footage? How will he explain the piles of money to the public?" he said.
"LET HIM CALCULATE THE BRIBE BARS IN MANAVGAT"
Recalling that Özel frequently comes to the agenda through gold prices, Erdoğan stated, "The CHP Chairman loves to roam around jewelers with a calculator in hand. Here’s the opportunity: Let him calculate the bribe bars in Manavgat. Let him summarize the billions stolen in Antalya, Izmir, and Istanbul. If he has even a shred of dignity, he should apologize to our police and judiciary for the slanders he has made," he said.
