U.S. BUILDING HIT
Security sources in Iraq reported that a U.S. diplomatic building near Baghdad International Airport in the capital Baghdad was targeted by a drone attack. Sources stated that the drone fell near the logistics support center within the airport. Following the incident, security measures in the area were increased.
EXPLOSION IN SEYDIYE
At the same time, an explosion occurred in the Seydiye neighborhood of the capital. Security sources reported that an attack was carried out with munitions believed to be a rocket or drone on the roof of a house in the neighborhood. Authorities stated that there were no casualties in the explosion, but minor material damage occurred. Officials announced that an investigation was initiated to determine the munitions used in the attack and to identify the source of the incident.
DRONE ATTACK NEAR ERBIL AIRPORT
A drone attack was carried out in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Erbil police reported that 3 drones were detected near Erbil International Airport and that the threats were neutralized. Authorities stated that a small fire broke out in the area as a result of the interception. A comprehensive investigation into the incident has been launched.
