A new development has occurred regarding the murder of young footballer Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı, who was killed by gunfire from suspects arriving in a vehicle with flashing lights while trying to mediate a reconciliation between famous rapper Vahap Canbay and singer Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu. Eight suspects, including Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu, who is alleged to have used the weapon, have been detained. The murder weapon was also seized during the operation conducted.
Turkey is discussing the armed attack that led to the death of young footballer Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı (21). New developments continue to emerge regarding the heart-wrenching murder.
SUSPECT ALAATTİN KADAYIFÇIOĞLU AND 7 OTHER SUSPECTS DETAINED
Recently, police teams initiated efforts to capture the suspects who fled after the incident, detaining Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu (28), who is alleged to have fired the weapon that took Kundakçı's life, along with M.R. (52), H.C.A. (25), M.K. (59), E.T. (63), A.Ö. (46), A.T. (28), and Z.K. (50).
MURDER WEAPON ALSO SEIZED
Meanwhile, the murder weapon was also seized during the operation. Investigations revealed that Kundakçı and two others were sitting in a parked vehicle when two different cars arrived at the scene, and one of the suspects who got out of these vehicles fired at Kundakçı's car and fled.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The incident occurred on the night of March 19 on Sıddık Street in Ümraniye. Allegedly, rapper Vahap Canbay, known to the public as "Canbay," wanted to reconcile with his singer ex-girlfriend Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu. Canbay asked his friend Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı, with whom he had a good relationship, for help. Following this, Kundakçı went to the front of the studio where Kalaycıoğlu was located with Canbay and his friends.
While the group was waiting in the vehicle, it is claimed that the suspects arrived at the scene in luxury cars with flashing lights and opened fire. The 21-year-old Kundakçı, who was targeted by the bullets, was seriously injured. The young footballer could not be saved despite all medical interventions after being taken to the hospital.
ADDITIONAL DETENTION PERIOD REQUESTED FOR KALAYCIOĞLU
Meanwhile, rapper Canbay, who testified as a witness at the police station, allegedly suggested that the incident might have been known to his ex-girlfriend Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu. Following this, the Homicide Bureau teams of the Public Order Branch, which deepened their investigations, detained Kalaycıoğlu. It was reported that an additional detention period was requested for Kalaycıoğlu, whose procedures at the Homicide Bureau are ongoing.
