THE ARGUMENT QUICKLY TURNED INTO A FIGHT

The incident occurred in the rural Cevizli Neighborhood of Seyitgazi district. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out between Mustafa and Eyüp Saygı and their uncle Sabri Saygı and their cousin İlker Saygı (32) over a land dispute. When the verbal argument turned into a fight, Mustafa Saygı opened fire on his relatives with the shotgun he had brought with him.

COUSIN DIED AT THE SCENE 

Upon notification by those around, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area. In the check carried out by health teams, it was determined that 32-year-old İlker Saygı, who was shot with a rifle, died at the scene. The injured Sabri Saygı, after initial intervention, was taken to Eskişehir Osmangazi University Medical Faculty Hospital and placed under treatment.

GENDARMERIE TOOK EXTENSIVE SECURITY MEASURES 

Following the incident, suspect Mustafa Saygı, who tried to flee, was caught by gendarmerie teams shortly after and taken into custody. The lifeless body of İlker Saygı was sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy after the prosecutor's investigation. The gendarmerie's investigation into the incident continues.
