A rainfall similar to the downpour that lasted 10 minutes in Samsun and caused flooding is expected across Turkey today. HEAVY RAIN WARNING FROM METEOROLOGY
According to Meteorology, intermittent and locally heavy showers will be effective in the inner and northern parts of Mersin, Adana, and Osmaniye, as well as western Kahramanmaraş, after noon hours.
HIGH RISK IN MANY PROVINCES INCLUDING ANKARA
Heavy downpours and thunderstorms are expected in eastern Burdur, Isparta, Eskişehir, Ankara, northern and western Konya, Çankırı, Yozgat, Sivas, Nevşehir, Aksaray, Kayseri, Niğde, Bolu, Düzce, Karabük, Kastamonu, and Sinop surroundings.
Additionally, intermittent heavy rainfall is forecasted in Zonguldak, Bartın, Samsun, Amasya, Çorum, Tokat, Ordu, and Giresun.
YELLOW CODE WARNING FOR WESTERN PROVINCES
A short-term heavy rain warning was also issued for eastern Çanakkale, southern and western Balıkesir, inner parts of İzmir, Manisa, eastern Aydın, southern and eastern Bursa, Bilecik, Kütahya, Afyonkarahisar, and Denizli surroundings.
"YELLOW CODE" SHARED BY THE MINISTRY OF INTERIOR
In line with data received from Meteorology, the Ministry of Interior also published a "yellow code" warning for certain provinces. The statement called for caution against sudden floods, waterlogging, lightning, hail, and strong winds.
