The British press claimed that Russia has started the shipment of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to Iran as of this month. It was stated that the shipment also includes food and medical supplies and is expected to be completed by the end of this month. It was emphasized that Moscow's move aims to strengthen Iran's military capabilities.

As the attacks by the US and Israel on Iran continue, the UK-based Financial Times (FT) newspaper has brought a striking claim to the forefront.

According to the report based on Western intelligence sources, it has been reported that Russia has started the shipment of drones to Iran as of this month. It was noted that the shipment, which includes drones as well as food and medical supplies, is being carried out in phases and is expected to be completed by the end of this month.

"THEY PROVIDED SATELLITE IMAGERY"

It was reminded that Moscow had previously provided intelligence support and satellite imagery to Tehran, emphasizing that this arms support is the first since the war that began on February 28.

"THEY PLAN TO STRENGTHEN IRAN'S MILITARY CAPACITY"

The report mentioned that Russia has been producing Iranian-designed drones since 2023 for the war it is waging against Ukraine, and it was suggested that this latest shipment from Moscow to Tehran aims to strengthen Iran's military capacity and stabilize the regime. It was also claimed that the recent attacks by Israel on Iranian targets in the Caspian Sea aim to disrupt these military and logistical transfers between Russia and Iran.

RESPONSE FROM THE KREMLIN

The report included a response from the Russian administration regarding the claim, stating that a Kremlin spokesperson said, "There are many false reports circulating at the moment. The only truth is that we are continuing our dialogue with the Iranian administration."

US-ISRAEL'S ATTACKS ON IRAN

Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were ongoing between the Tehran and Washington administrations. Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel.

In the US-Israel attacks, many high-ranking officials, including Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, were killed. According to Iranian officials, the death toll from the US-Israel attacks has exceeded 1,348, and the number of injured has surpassed 17,000.
