Abdullah İşlek, who lives in Şanlıurfa, claimed that he sold his cow and gave 150,000 lira to the mayor's private office believing in the promise of job placement, but he was delayed for months and not hired; the father of seven, İşlek stated that he is a victim and asked for help.

Abdullah İşlek, a 42-year-old man living in Şanlıurfa, claimed that he was a victim due to a municipal employee whom he alleged took his money under the promise of placing him in a job. İşlek stated that he sent 150,000 lira, which he obtained by selling his cow, to be able to get a job.

HE WROTE "JOB FOLLOW-UP FEE" WHEN SENDING THE MONEY

According to the news by Veli Toprak from Sözcü newspaper; M.B., the Chief of Staff of Akçakale Mayor Abdülhakim Ayhan, promised Abdullah İşlek that "I will place you in a job." Following this, İşlek sold his cow, which had a market value of approximately 250,000 lira, for 150,000 lira on July 11, 2025. İşlek sent the money through the bank and noted "job follow-up fee" in the description section.

"I WAS DELAYED FOR 8-9 MONTHS"

After sending the money, İşlek, who followed the process, stated that he did not receive a clear result for a long time. He said that whenever he asked, "What happened to our job?" he constantly received the response, "Wait, I am preparing your documents," and expressed that he was delayed for about 8-9 months and realized that he would not be placed in a job.

HE APPLIED TO THE AUTHORITIES, COULD NOT FIND A SOLUTION

İşlek stated that he also conveyed his situation to the mayor and members of parliament but could not find any solution. After the incident spread in the district, it was also claimed that M.B. met with him and recorded a video saying, "I gave him the money."

"I HAVE 7 CHILDREN, I AM IN A DIFFICULT SITUATION"

Describing his victimization, İşlek said, "Mustafa told me he would arrange a job for me in a place like a hospital or a school. I wouldn't believe it if it were the municipality. I sold my cow, I sent my money. Now you can't buy that cow for 300-350 thousand lira." Emphasizing that he is a father of seven children, İşlek stated that he is struggling to find a job and is expecting help.
