U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the military operation against Iran could gradually come to an end, saying, "As we consider reducing our significant military efforts in the Middle East against the regime in Iran, we have come very close to our goals." In a statement made hours earlier, Trump had indicated that he did not want a ceasefire, saying, "There is never a ceasefire when you are destroying the other side," signaling that the war would intensify.

US President Donald Trump made statements on his social media account regarding the war initiated against Iran.

Trump, who indicated that the military operation against Iran could gradually come to an end, stated, "As we consider reducing our significant military efforts in the Middle East against the regime in Iran, we have come very close to our targets."

HE LISTED HIS TARGETS ONE BY ONE

Clarifying his targets regarding Iran, Trump said, "To completely neutralize Iran's missile capabilities, launch pads, and everything related to them. To destroy Iran's defense industry. To eliminate Iran's navy and air forces, including anti-aircraft weapons. To never allow Iran to approach the capacity to produce nuclear weapons and to be in a position where the US can respond quickly and strongly if such a situation occurs. To protect our allies in the Middle East, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and others at the highest level."

"THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ MUST BE PROTECTED BY THE COUNTRIES THAT USE IT"

Trump also addressed the security of the Strait of Hormuz, which was closed following attacks by the US and Israel on Iran, stating, "The Strait of Hormuz must be properly protected and monitored by the other countries that use it. The US does not use it." Nevertheless, emphasizing that they could contribute to efforts to ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz if requested, Trump remarked, "However, this should not be necessary when the Iranian threat is eliminated. More importantly, ensuring the security of the strait would be an easy military operation for these countries."

TRUMP: I DO NOT WANT A CEASEFIRE

On the 21st day of the war, US President Donald Trump shocked those expecting a diplomatic solution by making statements in front of the cameras. Trump categorically rejected the possibility of a ceasefire, using the following expressions; "I do not want a ceasefire. A ceasefire is never made while literally destroying the other side. We do not need the Strait of Hormuz; we do not use it. The strait will open on its own at a certain point."
