Bombshell claim: UAE paid Iran billions of dollars to stop the attacks

The United Arab Emirates is alleged to have made multi-billion dollar payments to the Iranian administration in order to halt Iran's attacks. According to the claims, the UAE transferred $3 billion to Iran, with the total payment potentially reaching $10 to $20 billion. While it is asserted that notable diplomatic contacts have occurred between the two countries, the UAE administration has categorically denied these allegations.

A striking claim regarding the course of the ongoing war between the US and Iran has appeared in the British press. According to the allegations, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) made a secret deal with the Tehran administration to stop Iran's attacks and paid billions of dollars as part of this agreement.

UAE NOT BEING TARGETED DRAWS ATTENTION

The fact that the UAE, which was reportedly on Iran's target list since the beginning of the war, has recently avoided attacks has drawn attention. While Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan were targeted in recent attacks, the UAE not being hit has strengthened claims of a behind-the-scenes agreement.

ALLEGATION OF "3 BILLION DOLLARS PAID"

According to a report by Middle East Eye, regional sources claimed that the UAE has already paid Iran $3 billion as part of the agreement. While the same sources alleged that the total payment could reach $10 billion, some sources argued that this amount could reach $20 billion.

It was stated that there is no clear information on whether the funds in question came from frozen Iran-linked accounts by the US or from the UAE's sovereign wealth funds.

COMMENT: "IRAN EMERGES STRONGER FROM THE WAR"

While the allegations were evaluated by some commentators as a significant concession by the Abu Dhabi administration, comments were also made that Iran has emerged stronger from the war process.

NOTABLE CONTACTS BETWEEN THE UAE AND IRAN

Meanwhile, during the war, allegations had emerged that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his delegation visited Abu Dhabi and signed a joint defense agreement with the UAE. However, it was suggested that recent diplomatic contacts indicate changing balances on the ground.

According to reports, the UAE hosted members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, who are on the US sanctions list. It was alleged that Iranian officials met with UAE National Security Advisor and Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Tahnun bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, and that the delegation was hosted at Tahnun bin Zayed's private guesthouse.

BLOOMBERG: UAE DIPLOMATS SENT TO TEHRAN

In a report published by Bloomberg, it was claimed that the UAE sent its diplomats to Tehran to hold talks with senior Iranian officials to reduce tension in the region. The report alleged that face-to-face meetings were held between the parties and that diplomatic contacts were ongoing.

UAE DENIES ALLEGATIONS

The United Arab Emirates administration categorically denied allegations that billions of dollars were paid to Iran. In a statement by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the news was described as completely baseless, emphasizing that no frozen Iranian funds were released, transferred, or mediated through the UAE.

The statement also noted that no financial resources were transferred to Iran, expressing that the allegations in the public do not reflect the truth.
