Cahit Berkay's confession about Türkan Şoray: I was a platonic lover.

Cahit Berkay, who composed the music for films such as Al Yazmalım, Devlerin Aşkı, Kılıbık, Çiçek Abbas, Hülya, and Dila Hanım, was a guest on the "Empati" program.

In response to Taylan's question, "You gave an answer from the stage to those who asked how you made the music for Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım in 2022, and Türkan Şoray was with you. You said, 'I was in love.' Did you have any other platonic loves besides Türkan Şoray?" Berkay replied, "Of course, I did, I won't lie. I can't give names because they are still alive."

Cahit Berkay also said, "They ask me, 'How did you make Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım?' I say I made it up. They say, 'God forbid.' In Turkish, to make up means to put together notes that fit together and flow in a certain rhythm. When I say make up, don't think of lying."
