Transport Minister Uraloğlu announced that the Çamlıca Tower hosted approximately 2.8 million visitors in 5 years, is the highest point in Istanbul, and gained 448 new radio frequencies with DAB+ technology.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that Çamlıca Tower, the highest point of Istanbul, hosted approximately 2.8 million visitors in 5 years.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that Çamlıca Tower, which was inaugurated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on May 29, 2021, has been serving as one of Istanbul's iconic structures for 5 years.
STANDS OUT AS THE HIGHEST POINT OF THE CITY WITH A TOTAL HEIGHT OF 587 METERS ABOVE SEA LEVEL
Minister Uraloğlu, stating that Çamlıca Tower was built in the form of a tulip, said that the structure is one of the important works that bring together technology, architecture, and experience. Uraloğlu included the following statements in his explanation:
"The tower, with a reinforced concrete body of 201 meters and a steel antenna of 168 meters, stands out as the highest point of Istanbul with a total height of 587 meters above sea level. We used advanced engineering techniques in the tower built on an area of approximately 30,150 square meters. The reinforced concrete core, with a diameter of 58 meters and a depth of 21 meters, goes underground, providing a strong foundation for the structure. The tower, consisting of a total of 49 floors, includes observation terraces, restaurants, and lounge areas."
Uraloğlu, stating that they offer different experiences to visitors at Çamlıca Tower, said, "At the Observation Terrace, which is the first stop for those who want to explore Istanbul from a different perspective, the silhouette of the historical peninsula, the unique view of the Bosphorus, and natural beauties come together in a single frame. Seyyah360 takes visitors on an interactive visual journey. It offers the opportunity to explore Istanbul's cultural heritage and iconic landmarks through the eyes of Hezarfen Ahmed Çelebi."
BECAME ISTANBUL'S NEW ATTRACTION CENTER WITH ITS 360-DEGREE PANORAMIC VIEW
Uraloğlu said, "Since its opening, Çamlıca Tower has hosted approximately 2.8 million visitors. With its 360-degree panoramic view, modern architecture, and rich content, it has become one of Istanbul's new attraction centers."
Reminding that thanks to Çamlıca Tower, for the first time in the world, 100 FM radio broadcasts can be made simultaneously from a single communication tower, Uraloğlu shared the information, "Currently, 100 FM, 16 analog terrestrial TV, and 22 DAB+ broadcasts are actively conducted. We brought a new breath to our radio broadcasting with DAB+ technology. We implemented an important transformation in our Çamlıca Tower that will shape not only today but also the future. With DAB+ technology, we brought 448 new radio frequencies to Istanbul. A total of 22 radio channels, including public and private broadcasters, broadcast with this technology."
