In a mass wedding ceremony for a thousand couples in Tehran, the capital of Iran, military vehicles were turned into wedding cars, creating an unusual wedding convoy. At the event, held at Imam Hussein Square where 110 couples had their vows, grooms took the wheel of military jeeps decorated with pink and white balloons and flowers. One of the most striking details of the colorful convoy was the hanging of photos of Iran’s religious leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, on the vehicles transformed into wedding cars.

One of the busiest and most vibrant centers of the mass wedding organization was the historic Imam Hussein Square. The marriage of 110 couples gathered in the square was solemnized amid the intense interest and prayers of those around them.
