Canan Karatay, whose every word has become a topic of discussion, has found herself in trouble due to allegations of administering incorrect treatments. Her colleagues have established a 'Karatay Victims Platform' and called for complaints against Canan Karatay.

ALLEGATIONS OF INCORRECT TREATMENT

According to allegations, Canan Karatay advised her patient, Ceyhun Ülker, to use 'little medication, plenty of salt.' After that treatment, Ceyhun Ülker, whose kidneys failed, went to the prosecutor's office, but he passed away due to cancer while the investigation was ongoing. It has been learned that Canan Karatay, who is accused of administering incorrect treatment, will appear before a judge on January 9.

"MY HUSBAND HAD NO KIDNEY PROBLEMS"

According to a report on Show Ana Haber, the wife of Ceyhun Ülker, who allegedly died due to Canan Karatay's incorrect treatment, stated, "She told him to drink 1 liter of water with a spoonful of rock salt every day. She said he was diabetic and that surgery was not necessary. When we went to her, my husband had no problems with his kidneys."

"KARATAY VICTIMS PLATFORM" FROM COLLEAGUES

According to allegations, complaints against doctors began to arise after this incident. The doctors established the 'Karatay Victims Platform' to invite victims to file complaints.

Experts spoke about the incorrect treatment applied to Ceyhun Ülker. Dr. Recep Yılmaz Koç, a member of the Istanbul Medical Chamber, stated, "This is a wrong recommendation. Salt is salt. For some reason, she feels the need to speak in the media outside her field." Koç noted, "Canan Hanım has classical treatment methods." He added, "The first is to load the patient with all kinds of vitamins. The second is that she has started a trend of rock salt in recent months."

CALL TO CANAN KARATAY

Dr. Recep Yılmaz Koç, who invited victims to file complaints, continued his statement: "There are patients with hypertension who have gone as far as dialysis. We have patients who stopped cholesterol medications and suffered heart attacks. Many of our patients have been harmed by this. They should apply to the Medical Chamber or the Istanbul Health Directorate with a petition. Our request from Canan Hanım is not to mislead these patients."

"SALT CANNOT DO THIS"

Regarding the issue, Canan Karatay stated that she has not seen the person who filed the lawsuit since 2020. Karatay commented on the lawsuit against her: "Everyone thinks it's table salt. I'm talking about crystal rock salt. I find it funny; I laugh. A person I haven't seen since 2020 is suing me, claiming I made him sick. Salt cannot do this. There is absolutely no such thing as professional disqualification. I have always won lawsuits and have always received compensation."
