Yılmaz stated that, as expressed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the elections once again demonstrated the democratic maturity of the Turkish Cypriot people and reflected their will at the ballot box, saying, "On this occasion, I would like to convey the heartfelt greetings of our President to the Turkish Cypriot people and his congratulations to Mr. Erhürman. The elections are significant not only for showing the free and sovereign will of the Turkish Cypriots but also for reflecting the established state tradition and strong democracy in the TRNC."

I want to express that he is the President of all the Turkish Cypriot people, not just those who voted for him, and that no one has lost. His statements regarding close consultations with the Republic of Turkey, especially in foreign policy, are valuable. I also extend my congratulations to all candidates, parties, and institutions that ensured the elections were conducted with democratic maturity."
