In a business center in Gaziantep, a CHP delegation visiting a union was trapped in a broken elevator. The delegation, including CHP Deputy Chairman Ulaş Karasu and CHP Ankara Deputy Gamze Taşçıer, waited for half an hour to be rescued in the elevator that gave an overload warning.

On May 12, in the Şahinbey district of Gaziantep, the elevator carrying CHP Deputy Chairman Ulaş Karasu, Ankara Deputy Gamze Taşcıer, Gaziantep Provincial Chairman Vakkas Acar, and provincial administrators, who wanted to make a union visit, suddenly malfunctioned due to overload.

ELEVATOR DROPPED SLIGHTLY AND STOPPED

After experiencing a brief drop, the malfunctioning elevator locked on the second basement floor. While party members, including CHP Deputy Chairman Karasu and Deputy Taşcıer, panicked during the incident, fire departments and elevator service teams were dispatched to the business center upon notification.

THE INCIDENT ON CAMERA

The CHP delegation, locked in the elevator for about half an hour, was rescued after the elevator service opened the doors, and those moments were captured on a mobile phone camera. It was noteworthy that during those moments, the elevator warning system gave a warning saying "elevator overloaded, please reduce cabin load."
