The Ministry of Health made a statement regarding the news that a "deceased citizen was discharged" from a private hospital in Aydın.
In a post shared on the Ministry's "Healthy Solution" social media account, it was stated that there was a need to inform the public about the extraordinary inspection process carried out by the Aydın Provincial Health Directorate in response to reports that a deceased citizen was discharged from a private hospital in Aydın.
DISCHARGED ON FEBRUARY 7
It was expressed that the patient, who had been receiving treatment in the second-level intensive care unit since January 30 at the mentioned hospital, no longer needed oxygen support as of February 6, and therefore was discharged at 10:35 AM on February 7, as recorded.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED
The statement recorded the following:
"It has been understood from the camera recordings that the patient, who was waiting at the emergency entrance in a wheelchair, fainted while under the supervision of emergency service personnel and relatives of the patient, and was subsequently taken to the red zone. It has been determined from hospital records that the patient was intubated and received intervention for 40-45 minutes, and that the patient passed away at 11:40 AM. The investigation being conducted by our provincial health directorate regarding the matter is ongoing, and necessary information will be provided regarding the process."
