THE LATEST SITUATION IN SYRIA
The Syrian army liberated the Karakozak area, where the Suleyman Shah Tomb is located, around 19:00, just before the ceasefire came into effect. During the daytime, the Syrian army made progress by entering the town of Sarrin after intense clashes with the organization's elements in the southern parts of the Ayn al-Arab district, which is affiliated with Aleppo.
Due to the heavy fire opened by the terrorists stationed in the hilly area on the other side of the Euphrates River, the army forces west of the river were unable to cross the bridge, prompting the Syrian army to accelerate its advance on the Sarrin front. The army, advancing towards the Ayn al-Arab district to the north of Sarrin, surrounded the position where the village of Karakozak is located.
The region came under the control of the Syrian army around 19:00, just before the ceasefire, which took effect at 20:00, between the Damascus administration and the organization. The terrorist organization had heavily mined the area around the bridge and the Suleyman Shah Tomb, so the area has not yet been entered. The region will be made safe after the clearing of mines and other explosives.
