Signatures were collected for the Gaza Peace Council, shaped by the call of U.S. President Trump. While Turkey was represented by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan at the signing ceremony, Trump stated, "We are stopping the war in Gaza. I believe Hamas will keep its promises."
The diplomacy traffic peaked in Davos. Signatures were affixed today for the "Gaza Peace Council" established at the initiative of U.S. President Donald Trump. While many world leaders and high-level representatives will attend the ceremony to be held within the framework of the World Economic Forum, Turkey will be represented by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
"WE ARE STOPPING THE WAR IN GAZA"
In his remarks during the signing ceremony, Trump introduced the council members, stating, "Everyone here has done a fantastic job. We are also stopping the war in Gaza. There were very large fires here. There are 59 countries participating in Middle East peace. We made a threat in case Hamas does not keep its word, but I believe they will keep their word. They will surrender their weapons; if they don't, there will be consequences. We also conducted an operation in Iran in June regarding our goals for peace and destroyed all nuclear facilities. Right now, we are at a point of difference compared to a year ago; everywhere in the world was under fire."
"THERE ARE BRIGHT MINDS HERE"
We are at the largest and most important council that has been established. I had an idea, and then they told me I needed to be president. There are very talented and bright minds here. All countries participated very willingly. A few days ago, we sent out the invitations, and we gathered here in Davos. Everyone here is my friend; I love them all very much. The Peace Council is a council established with the best leaders in the world," he said.
"WE ARE HAPPY AS LONG AS WE SUCCEED IN GAZA"
U.S. President said, "Humanitarian aid is entering Gaza more, thanks to the ceasefire. We are working to ensure that Gaza is not armed. We are also working on border security. We are happy as long as we succeed in Gaza. After securing the border, we will continue to work with the UN. The UN has a very good potential, but I have not received help from them in the 8 wars I have finished so far," he said.
"WAR HAS NO CHANCE AGAINST THIS COUNCIL"
In his final remarks, he stated, "Here, we will overcome hatred and brutality and ensure world peace. Everyone in this room is a star. This will be our legacy. The most powerful people in the world are here right now. We can easily achieve peace. War has no chance against these people."
THE PEACE COUNCIL WAS ESTABLISHED WITH TRUMP'S SIGNATURE
After U.S. President Donald Trump's speech, the peace council was established with his signature. Following Trump, representatives of the countries that agreed to join the council also signed the charter.
