While the regulation that raises the lowest pension to 20,000 lira was accepted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the statement from AK Party Group Deputy Chair Özlem Zengin gave some hope to retirees. In her statement at the General Assembly, Özlem Zengin said, "We aim to make a regulation to further increase these figures as soon as possible. Yes, it is not sufficient. We all see that."
A regulation that raises the lowest pension payment in the Turkish Grand National Assembly to 20,000 TL has been accepted. The opposition reacted during the discussions to this payment, which is below the Hunger Line of 10,000 TL for retirees. In response to the reactions, AK Party Group Deputy Chair Özlem Zengin made a notable statement.
"THESE PAYMENTS WILL BE REVIEWED AGAIN" In her statement, Özlem Zengin said, "We aim to make a regulation to increase these figures as soon as possible, without disrupting macroeconomic balances and providing the maximum possible contribution to our retirees, as was also mentioned in the speech of our esteemed President today. Yes, it is not sufficient. We all see that. Our President also says so, but when you look at the increase over time, you can see how significant the increase has been in a serious period. My expression to my retired brothers from here is this; as soon as the conditions in Turkey are most suitable, these payments will be reviewed once again."
AK Party Group Deputy Chair Özlem Zengin ERDOĞAN HAD ALSO SAID "RETIREES ARE THE CROWN OF OUR HEAD" President Erdoğan, who made a statement regarding pension payments in the party group yesterday, said, "The lowest pension payment, which was 16,881 lira last month, will rise to 20,000 lira with an increase of 3,319 lira. This figure was only 66 lira when we took office. It was 40 dollars in dollar terms. After the new regulation, it will rise to 480 dollars. Our retirees, who have spent a significant part of their lives serving their country, are the crown of our head. They are more than worthy of all kinds of service and respect," he said.
WHEN WILL THE DIFFERENCE IN PAYMENTS BE DEPOSITED INTO ACCOUNTS? SSK retirees started receiving their salary payments as of January 17. Payments for those receiving the lowest pension were deposited as 16,881 TL without an increase. After the regulation is published in the Official Gazette, the payment schedule for the 3,119 TL increase will be announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
SSK 4A PENSION PAYMENT DATES WITH INCREASE Those whose last digit of the allocation number is 9 will be paid on the 17th of the month, Those whose last digit of the allocation number is 7 will be paid on the 18th of the month, Those whose last digit of the allocation number is 5 will be paid on the 19th of the month, Those whose last digit of the allocation number is 3 will be paid on the 20th of the month, Those whose last digit of the allocation number is 1 will be paid on the 21st of the month, Those whose last digit of the allocation number is 8 will be paid on the 22nd of the month, Those whose last digit of the allocation number is 6 will be paid on the 23rd of the month, Those whose last digit of the allocation number is 4 will be paid on the 24th of the month, Those whose last digit of the allocation number is 2 will be paid on the 25th of the month, Those whose last digit of the allocation number is 0 will be paid on the 26th of the month. 4B BAĞKUR PENSION PAYMENT SCHEDULE Bağ-Kur retirees whose last two digits of the retirement allocation number are 5, 7, and 9 receive their pension on the 25th of each month. Those with 3 and 1 receive their pensions on the 26th of each month, while those with 4, 6, and 8 receive their pensions on the 27th of each month. The last pension payment day for Bağ-Kur retirees is the 28th of each month, and those whose last two digits of the retirement allocation number are 0 and 2 are also included in this scope.
