The images of MHP Aydın Provincial Chairman Haluk Alıcık at a gambling table in a hotel in Cyprus have sparked significant controversy. Following the release of the images to the public, Alıcık made a statement.
"I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH GAMBLING"
Alıcık, who stated that an assassination of his reputation was being carried out, indicated that the photo in question was taken at the hotel he visited for a program, saying, "It was the hotel we went to for a program. When my friends said they were downstairs, I went down to join them. Normally, there are other friends of ours in that frame as well. However, they only cropped and shared me. An assassination of my reputation is being carried out. I have nothing to do with gambling," he said.
