Confession of "I instigated" in the Sinan Ateş case! The judge scolded, "What are you talking about?"

Statements of the defendants appearing before the judge 1.5 years after the murder of Sinan Ateş, former Chairman of the Idealist Hearths, are being taken. After the statements of the triggerman Eray Özyağcı and the motorcycle driver Vedat Balkaya, the statements of the scout Suat Kurt and the instigator Doğukan Çep were taken. "I DON'T KNOW IF HE WILL BE SHOT"

The judge asked the scout Suat Kurt, "Didn't you ask why I'm asking for the address in a debt collection case, why I'm following?" Kurt replied, "I looked at what time the deceased enters and leaves." When the judge repeated his question, Kurt said, "Doğukan Abi told me that 'he will be beaten, at most he will be shot in the legs'. I have no connection with MHP or Idealist Hearths. He said that someone will be shot, I don't know who."

When the judge intervened, saying "So Doğukan told you 'he will be shot'", Kurt replied, "He said he will be beaten, at most shot in the legs. I learned that Eray will be shot when they talked on the phone. I went to Ankara on the 26th of the month. I checked into the hotel with my own identification information. Doğukan sent me the address information, I informed him about his entry and exit. Everything in my statement is true. I entered the prison on the 27th and got out on the 28th. If I knew that a murder would be committed, I wouldn't stay at the hotel with my own identification information. I wouldn't be so stupid."

REACTION TO THE JUDGE SAYING "DON'T CALL ME BROTHER"

The lawyer asked, "During your interrogation, you said 'I am the one who provided Sinan Ateş's location information to Doğukan Cep'. How did you find this address, brother? Where did you determine it?" Kurt reacted, saying "I said Doğukan gave it to me. Don't call me brother."

HE ADMITTED TO BEING THE INSTIGATOR

In his defense, Çep said, "Yes, I instigated. But my intention was not to kill. If I were to arrange an assassination, I would have had him shot while passing by on the motorcycle. I don't know how he died, I told Özyağcı to shoot him in the legs. I was shocked."

THE JUDGE GOT ANGRY SAYING "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?"

In 2013, during the Gezi events, there were incidents of hitting DHKPC terrorists in Gazi Gümüşsuyu. Continuing his defense with his words, Çep said, "The red-scarfed girl Ayşe Deniz, Öykü Dilara Keskin... After shooting them, we enter ESP's association in Gezi and shoot 10 people inside. Finally, Hasan Ferit Gedik dies. He was supposedly against drugs. We were caught, we started to be tried. Google Hasan Ferit Gedik and look at the top of the coffin. DHKPC flags. MAKING IRRELEVANT STATEMENTS

The judge intervened, saying "What have you been talking about since morning?" Çep continued, saying "Cebrail Günebakan, whom I shot, says 'we will go to Kobani'. However, they receive weapons training in MLKP. They hung banners at the Amara Cultural Center, and they die. My cases were dropped this way. CHP deputies come and support my cases," he continued.

Çep, with the following words, described the incidents he claimed to have happened between him and Sinan Ateş before the murder:

"I was praying at the Aziz Mahmut Hüdai Mosque. One day, Sinan Ateş came for the morning prayer. We prayed side by side, I did dhikr. In 2013, I received a sentence from Hasan Ferit Gedik, I said 'Can you help me?' He said, 'I will do my best.' He said, 'You have done what we couldn't do, our dreams.' Then he said, 'They will take care of your file.' I called, I said 'I arranged it.' He called me to a hotel in Taksim, I gave him the money at the hotel. In 2021, my phone rang, he said 'brother', he said 'we need to pay 200 thousand TL.' I said 'I couldn't arrange the whole amount.' I borrowed money from here and there, I arranged 200 thousand TL within a week, he said 'brother, can you come to Ankara?' I said 'I'm in Ankara,' he said 'write the location of Çukurambar Liva Pastry, come.' I went, he came. We sat down, I gave him the money, it was in a bag. But he said 'from now on, when I call you, you have to arrange the whole amount of money.'"

CLAIM OF "I GAVE MONEY TO SINAN ATEŞ"

In November 2022, he said 'brother, we are close to the end, it's about to happen,' he said, 'brother, I couldn't arrange the whole amount of money.' I said. I called him, it became December. He said 'brother, be patient.' He said 'if it doesn't work, let's get our money back.' I kept calling, he stopped answering, the person who answered stopped answering. I waited for a few more days. I said 'I will shoot him in the legs, I'm going to Ankara.' Eray was with me. 'Brother, I will go and shoot him,' he said."

Çep said, "If I had sent him to kill, I would say I sent him to kill. I'm not afraid of anyone other than Allah. I didn't want him to die, I don't even know how he died. I would say I killed him like a man. Whether I love him or not is not important. I wouldn't say 'kill him, don't kill him'."

HE COULDN'T ANSWER THE QUESTION "WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR A CONFIRMED CASE?"

Two different lawyers asked Doğukan Çep, "Your sentence in the Hasan Ferit Gedik case has been confirmed by the Court of Cassation. What can you do for a confirmed case like Sinan Ateş?" Çep couldn't answer both questions.

Çep also stated that it was not possible for the bullet that killed Ateş to come from Eray Özyağcı's gun, from the angle he was holding it, and that the angle of the bullet that killed him could belong to Selman Bozkurt (Ateş's friend/complainant) and requested an investigation.

Meanwhile, while Suat Kurt's defense was continuing, the defendant Doğukan Çep, who turned back from the defendant's chair, nodded his head with a smile to the journalists.
