A new development occurred in the murder of Dede Baltacı, who was found dead in Ankara's Şereflikoçhisar in 2008 and whose perpetrator had not been identified for 18 years. Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that, upon re-examination of the case, 5 suspects were identified as a result of narrowed base analysis, HTS records, the forensic medicine report, and witness statements consistent with these data. New efforts in the 18-year-old unsolved murder of Dede Baltaci have changed the course of the investigation. Justice Minister Akin Gurlek announced that the case of Dede Baltaci, found dead in Ankara's Sereflikochisar in 2008, has been re-examined and 5 suspects believed to be the perpetrators of the murder have been identified.

Following the conducted efforts, in the operation carried out, F.K., R.K., A.O., and F.E. were arrested. A judicial control decision was issued for M.K., who is stated to be in prison.

BASE STATION AND HTS RECORDS RE-EXAMINED

In the case re-opened after years, technological means were also utilized. Within the scope of the investigation, narrowed base station analysis and HTS records were examined.

The obtained data were evaluated together with the Forensic Medicine report and witness statements consistent with this data. According to what Minister Gurlek reported, as a result of the studies conducted, 5 suspects believed to be the perpetrators of the Dede Baltaci murder were identified.

Following the findings reached in the investigation, an operation was carried out. Within the scope of the operation, F.K., R.K., A.O., and F.E., among the suspects against whom proceedings were initiated, were arrested. A judicial control decision was issued for M.K., who is currently in prison.
