Sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the meeting started at 14:30 and that the process initiated by Israel's airstrike on Iran and its possible implications were discussed.
ISRAEL'S ATTACKS TARGETING SEVERAL CITIES IN IRAN
Israel had carried out attacks early in the morning on Iran's capital Tehran, as well as the Natanz Nuclear Facility in Tabriz, Isfahan, and the cities of Lorestan, Kermanshah, Shiraz, Khuzestan, Hamadan, and Qom. It was reported that there was no leakage at the nuclear facility in Natanz.
In the attacks, several high-ranking military officials, including Iranian Chief of General Staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of the Hatem al-Anbiya Central Headquarters Gholamali Rashid, and Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, as well as 6 nuclear scientists, lost their lives.
It was reported that in Israel's attacks in Tehran, civilian residential areas were also hit, resulting in the deaths of many civilians, including women and children.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that they were attacking Iran and said that the attacks would continue "until the danger is eliminated." Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced that a state of emergency had been declared in the country. The Israeli army reported that more than 200 fighter jets participated in the attacks, and it was noted that drones were also used.
