The General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs warned drivers about the "expiration date" on their driver's licenses. The warning stated that licenses will be canceled if their expiration date has passed.
The General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs stated in a statement on its social media account that citizens must check the "valid until" dates on their driver's licenses to prevent their licenses from being cancelled.
ATTENTION TO PREVENT DRIVER'S LICENSES FROM BEING CANCELLED
In the statement, it said, "Have you checked your driver's license? To prevent your driver's license from being cancelled and to avoid any inconvenience, you can check the valid until date on your license. You can renew your driver's licenses, whose validity period is about to expire or has expired, by making an appointment at the nearest population directorate."
It was reminded that in new type driver's licenses, which need to be renewed every 5 or 10 years depending on the class, the licenses will be considered legally invalid if the period expires.
