In the Bodrum district of Muğla, a verdict was announced for Andrej Kuslevic, who killed his ex-wife Irina Dvizova and their daughter Dayana Dvizova with a pistol, wrapped their bodies in a sheet, and threw them off a cliff. At the hearing of the case heard in the Bodrum 2nd Heavy Penal Court, the detained defendant Kuslevic was sentenced to two aggravated life sentences without any reduction for the crime of 'premeditated murder'.

A verdict has been reached in the case of the murder of Russian national Irina Dvizova and her 15-year-old daughter Dayana, whose bodies were discarded in a rugged area in Bodrum. Andrej Kuslevic, who premeditatedly killed his ex-wife and daughter, was sentenced to two consecutive aggravated life sentences without any reduction.

LIFELESS BODIES FOUND IN A CLIFF

The incident began on November 23, 2023, when Irina Dvizova, who worked in real estate, and her daughter Dayana could not be reached. After relatives entered the home in Konacık Neighborhood and saw blood stains on the sofas, security forces took action. Examining camera footage, police traced a suspicious vehicle and on November 28 found the lifeless bodies of the mother and daughter wrapped in sheets, thrown into a cliff three meters apart. Autopsies revealed 3 bullets were removed from Irina's body and 2 from Dayana's.

COMMITTED THE MURDER, CLEANED THE HOUSE, AND FLED WITH HIS SON

The investigation uncovered the horrific plan of ex-husband Andrej Kuslevic. Driven by hostility over a custody dispute, Kuslevic stayed in the house for about 4.5 hours after the murder to clean up blood stains. The murderous husband loaded the bodies into the trunk, took his 5-year-old son with him, went to a hotel first, and then fled abroad after throwing the bodies off the cliff.

CAUGHT IN GERMANY, EXTRADITED TO TURKEY

A red notice was issued for Kuslevic, and he was arrested in Germany. Extradited to Turkey on February 6, the defendant appeared before the judge in today's final hearing. Claiming the footage was not of him and saying "I am innocent, I demand my acquittal," Kuslevic's request was denied. The court imposed the maximum penalty for the crime of "premeditated murder."

HEARTBREAKING DETAIL: FUNDRAISER FOR FUNERALS

Due to financial difficulties, Irina Dvizova's eldest son, David Dvizova, launched a fundraiser to transport his mother and sister's remains to Russia. With the collected donations, David came to Turkey, received the bodies of his mother and sister, and took them to their home country.

DEFENSE TO APPEAL THE DECISION

Speaking after the verdict, the defendant's lawyer, Ebru Çınar Kuvvet, claimed there was a discrepancy between the dates of death and her client's departure from Turkey, stating they would take the case to the appeals court.
