Demet Akalın's statement came after the legislative proposals that foresee granting green passports (special stamped passports) to engineers, architects, pilots, and cabin crews were brought to the agenda of the Parliament recently.
* New Regulations: The proposals submitted to the Parliament plan to grant visa-free travel opportunities to engineers and architects with at least 15 years of seniority in their profession.
* Current Situation: According to the current law, a green passport is granted to certain levels of civil servants, former members of parliament, mayors, state athletes, and exporters who meet certain conditions.
