The Disinformation Combat Center (DMM) denied claims that holders of green and gray passports would have to pay 7 Euros for their travels to Europe. The DMM stated that these passport holders are not subject to the ETIAS system.

The claims that holders of green and gray passports will have to pay 7 Euros for travel in Europe and that those who are rejected will not be able to enter the European Union (EU) have been denied.

A STATEMENT FROM DMM

A statement regarding the claim was made on the social media account of the Presidency's Communication Directorate's Disinformation Combat Center (DMM). In the statement, which reported that the claim was not true, it was noted that the official website of the European Union contains information that 30 European countries have imposed a "requirement to have ETIAS travel authorization" for citizens of visa-exempt countries.

"ETIAS SYSTEM WILL NOT BE APPLIED TO TURKISH CITIZENS"

In the statement emphasizing that Turkey is not on the list of countries requiring ETIAS travel authorization, the following was stated: "The claim that Turkish service (gray) and special (green) passport holders must obtain electronic pre-approval under the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) before entering the Schengen area is unfounded. The ETIAS system will not be applied to Turkish citizens holding service and special passports who have the right to enter the Schengen area without a visa. Do not trust unfounded claims aimed at manipulating public opinion."
