Hasan Heybetli, known as the "last tough guy," was found dead in the prison where he was incarcerated. Heybetli, who was undergoing treatment for prostate cancer and was also under medical supervision due to a heart condition, reportedly passed away due to natural causes, according to initial assessments. The Turkish public knew Heybetli from his marriage to the artist Muazzez Abacı.

ROBBERY, EXTORTION, ASSAULT...
Hasan Heybetli was imprisoned multiple times for crimes such as robbery, assault, and extortion. The Turkish public recognized Heybetli from his marriage to artist Muazzez Abacı. The couple got engaged in 1979 and married in 1980. This marriage ended in 1983. The couple remarried in 1989 and divorced again in 1993.
HE SERVED HIS SENTENCE IN ÇEŞME AND İZMİR
In 2009, Heybetli was tried in connection with the murder of currency exchange office owner Fatih Edremit in Polat Residence, Şişli, Istanbul, and was sentenced to 25 years for 'intentional murder' and 10 months for 'carrying an unlicensed weapon.' After the court's decision became final, Heybetli was arrested and served his sentence in prisons in Çeşme and İzmir.

Heybetli was found dead in his cell at İzmir No. 2 F-Type Prison around 7:00 PM yesterday. Following his death, the duty prosecutor conducted investigations in the prison. The duty prosecutor and forensic teams who arrived at the scene completed their initial examinations. The exact cause of Heybetli's death will be clarified after the autopsy results.
HE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH PROSTATE CANCER
During his time in prison, Heybetli struggled with health issues, having been diagnosed with prostate cancer and receiving treatment at Edirne Medical Faculty Hospital for this reason. He was also regularly monitored in the cardiology department due to heart problems. According to initial assessments, it is stated that Heybetli died of natural causes.
