An allegation that will be widely discussed regarding the CHP has emerged. It has been claimed that the CHP's 38th Congress will be canceled and a trustee will be appointed to the party. There have been consecutive denials of the allegation.

DENIAL OF THE "TRUSTEE FOR CHP" ALLEGATION FROM DDM

In a statement made by the Disinformation Combat Center regarding the issue, it was stated that the allegations are merely manipulations. The statement included the following remarks: "The claims shared from some social media accounts, stating 'The CHP's 38th Congress is being canceled, a trustee is being appointed to the CHP,' are manipulations. The judicial process carried out in accordance with Article 112 of the Political Parties Law and other relevant legal provisions is ongoing. The allegations made regarding the decision of a case that has not even had its first hearing are unfounded."

"DO NOT BELIEVE UNFOUNDED ALLEGATIONS"

Former Hatay Mayor Lütfü Savaş and some delegates have separately filed lawsuits in different courts for the cancellation of the CHP's congress scheduled for November 4-5, 2023. The cancellation lawsuits have been consolidated in the file at the Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance. The first hearing will be held tomorrow. Decisions made by independent courts on behalf of the Turkish nation are first announced directly to the parties involved during the hearings. Do not give credence to unfounded allegations made to create a perception regarding judicial processes."

MINISTER TUNÇ: AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED REGARDING THE SHARES

Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç stated that an investigation has been initiated regarding the unfounded shares. Minister Tunç made the following statement: "Based on the complaints of some CHP delegates, a judicial investigation has been initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the processes related to the lawsuits filed for the cancellation of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress, as well as some shares made via social media regarding operations to be carried out against certain municipalities. Such baseless allegations aimed at misleading the public should not be given credence."
