DMM stated that the news reports claiming "5 children under the protection of the Ministry attempted suicide" do not reflect the truth. In the statement, it was conveyed that the opinions provided by the relevant specialists of the hospital indicated that the children did not have the intention to harm themselves. It was also mentioned that "psychosocial support services continue to be provided to the children following the incident."

The Presidency of Communication's Disinformation Combat Center (DMM) stated that the news "5 children under the protection of the Ministry attempted suicide" does not reflect the truth, explaining that "The statement record in question is a document prepared in accordance with judicial practices, in line with the necessity to investigate the possibility of suicide in life-threatening incidents."

A DENIAL OF THE NEWS HAS BEEN ISSUED

In a statement made on DMM's social media platform account regarding the issue, it was noted that the claim brought to the agenda about 5 children being transferred to the hospital after stating that they drank the same bleach in a care facility affiliated with the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services does not reflect the truth.

In the opinion provided by the relevant specialists of the hospital, it was stated that the children did not have the intention to harm themselves, and the following was recorded in the statement:

"After the incident, psychosocial support services continue to be provided to the children. The statement record in question is a document prepared in accordance with judicial practices, in line with the necessity to investigate the possibility of suicide in life-threatening incidents. Such incidents are meticulously examined by judicial authorities as judicial cases, a suicide suspicion record is prepared, and statements are taken in this context. Thus, it is investigated whether the incident carries intent, negligence, or criminal elements. Our Ministry of Family and Social Services continues its efforts meticulously to ensure that each child under care and protection grows up in a healthy, safe, and peaceful environment, supporting their physical, social, and psychological development."
