WHAT IS A SUPERVISORY TRUSTEE?
A supervisory trustee serves as a court-appointed official auditor tasked with examining decisions, commercial activities, and financial transactions of the current management for legal compliance, rather than completely taking over company management during an ongoing judicial investigation.
The purpose of this practice is stated as preventing interruptions in the production and supply processes of companies under investigation, avoiding product shortages in the market, and ensuring that citizens can access basic food products under fair conditions.
