The statement of actress Didem Soydan, who was detained as part of the 'Drug' investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against celebrities and was released under judicial control after the proceedings, has emerged.
"I TOOK A BREATH BY MISTAKE"
In her statement, Didem Soydan said, "I have never used drugs at any point in my life, but I started using natural tobacco since the pandemic, I occasionally smoke tobacco. About 20 days ago, on March 9, 2026, when I went to France for a fashion show, after the show, I asked my fellow models if they had any tobacco. One of my friends handed me a rolled cigarette, I took a puff from it and realized that it was not tobacco. Immediately, I turned to my foreign model friend and said that this was not what I wanted. I think what my friend had was 'Marijuana', but I don't know since I have never used it in my life. Other than that, I have not consumed any drugs. As I said, if the substance in the incident I described is a drug, then I took a breath by mistake."

Soydan stated, "Although it has been said that I used drugs, I have explained above that I did not use drugs. I have no information regarding the other incidents mentioned in the statement, and I do not know whether the individuals mentioned in the statement used drugs or not. As far as I understand, the statement of this person is based not on direct witness but on hearsay. In fact, the situation will be revealed when the HTS records, location information from BAZ records, and my phone, which I gave with my consent, are examined. Lastly, I absolutely do not accept the accusation; I did not use drugs."
