While US-Iran tensions and the shipping crisis in the Strait of Hormuz drive up oil prices, fuel prices have increased. Diesel rose by 2 lira 28 kurus, gasoline by 95 kurus; the increase was silently reflected at the pump as of midnight. New prices have risen in many cities, especially Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir.

The tension between the US and Iran, along with the uncertainty in the Strait of Hormuz, has driven oil prices up, leading to an increase in fuel prices. Diesel and gasoline prices have risen as of midnight.

DIESEL UP BY 2 LIRA 28 KURUS, GASOLINE UP BY 95 KURUS

With the new regulation, the price per liter of diesel has increased by 2 lira 28 kurus, and gasoline by 95 kurus. The increase has been directly reflected in pump prices.

NEW PRICES BY CITY

After the hike, diesel prices rose to 71.66 lira in Istanbul, 72.70 lira in Ankara, and 73.08 lira in Izmir. In eastern provinces, the liter price reached 74.48 lira.

Gasoline prices were updated to 63.77 lira in Istanbul, 64.68 lira in Ankara, and 64.96 lira in Izmir. In eastern provinces, gasoline reached 66.30 lira per liter.

OIL PRICE RISE HAS AN EFFECT

Experts note that the increase in global oil prices is due to the fragile ceasefire on the US-Iran front and shipment disruptions caused by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
