Drone attack from Ukraine on Crimea: 4 dead

Three people were killed and seven injured in drone attacks carried out by Ukrainian forces in Simferopol, the center of Russia-annexed Crimea. Additionally, a drone strike hit a suburban train, killing one person and injuring three others. Russia reported that more than 20 drones were neutralized.

In a drone attack carried out by Ukrainian forces on Simferopol, the center of Russia's annexed Crimean Peninsula, 3 people lost their lives; while one drone hit a suburban train, resulting in 1 death and 3 injuries.

Ukraine launched attacks on Russia's annexed Crimean Peninsula. In a statement, Russia-appointed Crimean leader Sergey Aksyonov said, "As a result of an enemy attack on non-residential facilities in Simferopol, according to initial assessments, 3 people died and 7 were injured. I extend my sincerest and deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased. I wish a speedy recovery to all those injured. As the administration of the Republic of Crimea, we will provide all possible assistance and support."

AIR RAID ALERT IN THE CITY REMAINED IN EFFECT FOR APPROXIMATELY 5 HOURS

In another statement made hours later, Aksyonov reported that a Ukrainian drone struck a suburban train in Crimea, saying, "As a result of an enemy drone attack on a suburban train traveling from Azovske to Kerch, 1 person died and 3 were injured. Emergency response and operational teams continue their work at the scene."

Mikhail Razvojayev, the governor appointed by Russia to Sevastopol, announced that air defense units neutralized more than 20 Ukrainian drones. Razvojayev stated that drone debris damaged some buildings.

The air raid alert in the city remained in effect for approximately 5 hours.
