Nine contracted soldiers serving at the National Defense University Air Force Academy were detained on charges of "using and supplying narcotic substances."
It has been learned that an investigation has been initiated regarding some personnel with the status of contracted soldiers serving at the National Defense University (MSU) Air Force Academy Command due to allegations of "drugs".
THE ALLEGATIONS ARE SERIOUS
According to Mustafa Kadir Mercan from A Haber; the investigation conducted under Article 191 of the Turkish Penal Code, which involves the accusation of "purchasing, accepting, possessing, or using drugs or stimulants for personal use," is being carried out by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
9 SOLDIERS DETAINED
As part of the investigation, 9 individuals were brought to the courthouse. The suspects, whose statements were taken and sent to the Forensic Medicine Institution, had blood, hair, and urine samples collected.
DETENTION PERIODS EXTENDED
Search and seizure operations were conducted at addresses where drug use was suspected. It was reported that drugs were seized in foil during searches and body checks.
Additionally, it has been learned that an investigation has also been initiated regarding the crimes of "providing drugs" and "facilitating use," and in this context, the detention periods of the suspects have been extended. The suspects are expected to be brought to the courthouse again today.
