The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) imposed a penalty on the broadcasting company beIN Sports due to violations that occurred during the broadcast of the match between Trabzonspor and Galatasaray.
OBSCENE CHANTS WERE BROADCASTED
In the examination on the agenda of RTÜK, it was determined that obscene chants made with music in the stadium during the match played on April 4 were broadcasted without any censorship. The clear reflection of the chants made to the tune of the song "Şinanay" drew attention.
NECESSARY MEASURES WERE NOT TAKEN
The council stated that the broadcasting company did not use a delayed broadcast system, did not balance the ambient sound, and did not take protective measures by lowering the volume at necessary moments to protect the viewers. It was emphasized that this situation was contrary to broadcasting principles.
A FINE WAS IMPOSED
After the evaluations, RTÜK decided to impose an administrative monetary fine on beIN Sports due to the aforementioned violations.
