After Istanbul, due to the downpour continuing to affect Kocaeli, education was suspended for one day on Friday, October 16, in all educational institutions throughout the province.
In a statement from the Kocaeli Governor's Office, it was stated that, according to meteorological data, it was assessed that the downpour in the city would continue tomorrow, even if its effect decreases.
In the statement, it was announced that veterans, disabled veterans, pregnant, disabled, and chronically ill personnel working in public institutions, as well as female personnel who have a child attending a rehabilitation center, kindergarten, or nursery and who have a child under the age of 10, will be considered administratively excused for one day, except those whose shifts are mandatory.
