After a hitch in Fenerbahçe's talks with Sergio Conceição, the route for the managerial position shifted back to domestic names. While Emre Belözoğlu became the favorite on the list, the experienced coach's words from years ago about the yellow-navy club, 'Whenever Fenerbahçe wants me, my answer will always be yes,' came back onto the agenda.
As Fenerbahçe's search for a head coach continues, Emre Belözoğlu's name has come to the fore again. After claims that there was a snag in the talks between the yellow-navy club and Sergio Conceiçao, Belözoğlu's past remarks about Fenerbahçe have been recalled.
FENERBAHÇE'S ROUTE TURNS BACK TO EMRE BELÖZOĞLU
According to a report by HT Spor, there was a snag in Fenerbahçe's negotiations with Portuguese head coach Sergio Conceiçao. Thereupon, it was claimed that the yellow-navy management turned back to the domestic head coach option and that the favorite name on the list was Emre Belözoğlu.
"MY ANSWER WILL ALWAYS BE YES WHENEVER THEY WANT ME"
The statements previously made by Emre Belözoğlu, whose name has been mentioned for the head coaching job at Fenerbahçe, also drew attention again. Belözoğlu expressed his loyalty to the yellow-navy club with these words:
"Whenever Fenerbahçe wants me, it doesn't matter what the terms, conditions, where or how. My answer there will always be yes."
"I DECIDED TO DO EVERYTHING FOR FENERBAHÇE"
In the same statement, Belözoğlu also emphasized that he was ready to make any sacrifice for Fenerbahçe and used the following expressions:
"I decided to do everything for Fenerbahçe on the day I put on that jersey."
These statements made by the experienced coach in the past regarding the yellow-navy club took on a different meaning as his name came up again for the head coaching position. The decision to be made by the Fenerbahçe management regarding the head coach is awaited.
