National footballer Enes Ünal has returned to his former team Getafe. The Spanish club signed a 3-year contract with the 29-year-old striker, and they will not pay a transfer fee for the deal.
Getafe strengthened their attacking line with their former player Enes Ünal. The Spanish club announced that they reached an agreement with Bournemouth regarding the transfer of the national footballer. A 3-year contract valid until 2029 was signed with Enes Ünal.
"ENES ÜNAL RETURNS HOME"
Getafe also highlighted Enes Ünal's first spell at the club, stating the following:
"Enes Ünal joined our club from Villarreal in the summer of 2020 and began a period that lasted until January 2024. During this process, the player, who made 109 official appearances and scored 36 goals wearing the blue and white jersey, became one of the important attacking players in the club's recent history."
The Spanish team concluded its statement with these words: "After 109 matches, 36 goals, and many memories, Enes Ünal returns home. Welcome back, Enes."
NO TRANSFER FEE WILL BE PAID
The financial details of the transfer have also been revealed. It was stated that Getafe would not pay a transfer fee for Enes Ünal. According to the agreement, a £1.3 million bonus will be paid to Bournemouth. The English club will also receive a 20% share from any future transfer of Enes Ünal.
PLAYED 58 MATCHES FOR BOURNEMOUTH
Enes Ünal first moved from Getafe to Bournemouth on loan in January 2024. The English team later acquired the permanent rights to the national footballer. The 29-year-old striker scored 5 goals in 58 appearances with the Bournemouth jersey.
