A new development has occurred regarding journalist Enver Aysever, known for his opposition identity. An indictment has been prepared against Aysever, who was arrested for his statements in YouTube broadcasts, with a request for imprisonment of 1 to 3 years on the charge of "publicly inciting hatred and hostility."
Journalist Enver Aysever used some expressions on his social media account/YouTube broadcast on December 10, 2025. Among these expressions were sentences like "Being right-wing is a crime; when you are right-wing, you become immoral."
Following these words, the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiated an ex officio investigation on the grounds of "inciting the public to hatred and hostility or humiliation."
HE CLAIMED THAT A PERCEPTION WAS CREATED
In his statement, Aysever argued that a part of the video in question was cut and spread on social media, creating a perception. However, the court decided to arrest him within the scope of the allegations.
HE HAD REVERSED HIS POSITION
In his statement, which became the focus of reactions, Aysever expressed that it was impossible to insult a community that consists of 70% conservatives and nationalists, considering Turkey's sociological reality, that he has been a journalist for 30 years, and that he did not act with the intention of belittling right-wing individuals.
