President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli visited Hatay, where they inspected the historic Parliament building that was damaged in the earthquake and has now been restored, as well as the Habib-i Neccar Mosque.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who visited Hatay, later went to the Hatay Metropolitan Municipality after the "455th Disaster Housing Lottery Draw, Key Delivery, and Collective Opening Ceremony of Completed Investments" held on Atatürk Street.
ERDOĞAN AND BAHÇELİ VISIT THE HISTORIC PARLIAMENT BUILDING
Accompanied by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, Erdoğan was welcomed by Mayor Mehmet Öntürk. Erdoğan received information from officials about the history of the building and the ongoing works, and he signed the municipality's honor book.
Erdoğan then visited the historic Parliament building, which was damaged in the earthquakes on February 6, 2023, and has since been restored. Erdoğan and his companions listened to a concert performed by a choir composed of students and academics from Hatay Mustafa Kemal University.
A MEANINGFUL GIFT FROM A CITIZEN TO PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN
Later, Erdoğan inspected Kemalpaşa Street and chatted with citizens. One citizen gifted President Erdoğan a mosaic artwork with the inscription "Do not leave the minarets without calls to prayer, O Allah."
FINAL STOP: HABIB-I NECCAR MOSQUE
Erdoğan and his companions then visited the restored Habib-i Neccar Mosque. Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy provided information to President Erdoğan about the works carried out.
