Turkey's first unmanned combat aircraft, Bayraktar KIZILELMA, continues to make waves around the world. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated, "I am sure that its entry into service will drive those notorious circles even crazier." Bayraktar KIZILELMA has caught the attention of Saudi Arabia. SAUDIS HAVE SET THEIR SIGHTSIt has been reported that Saudi Arabia has shown great interest in Turkey's first unmanned combat aircraft, Bayraktar KIZILELMA. At a time when discussions about manned combat aircraft are increasing globally, Saudi Arabia has taken a pioneering step to include Turkey's next-generation high-tech unmanned combat aircraft in its air fleet. THEY WANT TO BE AMONG THE FIRST ORDERING COUNTRIESThe Saudis aim to be one of the first countries to order KIZILELMA, planning to equip their air forces with hundreds of these state-of-the-art jets. WHY WAS KIZILELMA PREFERRED?Saudi Arabia's decision to purchase KIZILELMA stems from the aircraft's advanced technological capabilities and significantly shorter delivery time compared to jets like the Eurofighter Typhoon and F-35. While manned combat aircraft typically require delivery times of 6 years or longer, KIZILELMA's offering of a much faster delivery time of 1-2 years further enhances its appeal. THEY HAD SEEN IT IN PERSONIn July, Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman Al Saud and his accompanying delegation visited the Özdemir Bayraktar National Technology Center to conduct a detailed examination of KIZILELMA.
