Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent discussed Turkey-U.S. relations and cooperation opportunities in the fields of trade, transportation, and energy in Washington. During the meeting, it was reported that Şimşek reminded his counterpart of the restrictions imposed on Turkey in the defense industry.

The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, met with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in Washington.
