"I EXPRESS MY GRATITUDE FOR SHOWING THE NOBILITY OF ANATOLIAN WOMEN"
Erdoğan stated, "Especially like a century ago in our War of Independence, I express my gratitude to all our female friends, including our Mayor Zeynep Güneş, who honored our group hall from Eskişehir Mihalgazi by wearing their white headscarves. She is a successful female politician who has served her district for three terms with the authority given by the nation, working as a woman in traditional attire in her district. I condemn once again the fascist, arrogant, proud, and despicable behavior of this person, a remnant of February 28. I want it to be known that we will continue our struggle against those who have usurped the educational rights of headscarf-wearing women, the employment rates in the public sector, and those who have insulted the attire, headscarves, trousers, cloaks, fabrics, and dresses that Anatolian women have proudly carried for centuries, as well as those who look down on our nation and despise it, in every arena until the end."
