President Erdoğan shared the details of the energy agreement signed between Turkey and Saudi Arabia at the AK Party Group Meeting. Stating that Saudi companies will build solar and wind power plants with a total capacity of 5,000 megawatts in Turkey, Erdoğan said, "In the first phase, solar power plants with a capacity of 1,000 megawatts each will be established in Sivas and Karaman. With these two solar power plant projects, we aim to meet the electricity needs of a total of 2.1 million households."
President Erdoğan explained the details of the energy agreement between Turkey and Saudi Arabia at the AK Party Group Meeting.
Highlighting the renewable energy agreements signed with Saudi Arabia, Erdoğan stated, "As you know, last week we made significant visits to our brother countries, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. In addition to addressing our bilateral relations in all aspects, we comprehensively consulted on current issues, particularly Palestine, Syria, and Sudan. We returned from both visits with a total of 12 agreements signed in various fields, from energy to defense. The agreement we signed with Saudi Arabia in the field of renewable energy is of strategic importance."
"A SOLAR POWER PLANT WILL BE ESTABLISHED IN SIVAS AND KARAMAN"
Stating that Saudi Arabia will establish solar power plants in two provinces, Erdoğan said, "According to this agreement, hopefully, Saudi companies will build solar and wind power plants with a total capacity of 5,000 megawatts in Turkey. In the first phase, solar power plants with a capacity of 1,000 megawatts will be established in Sivas and Karaman. With these two solar power plant projects, we aim to meet the electricity needs of a total of 2.1 million households."
