Guilherme was excluded from the squad and stripped of the captaincy before the match against Galatasaray at Konyaspor.

Konyaspor, which last won in the Super League in October 2025, parted ways with Çağdaş Atan, who took over after Recep Uçar. The green-white team has reached an agreement with İlhan Palut and will face Galatasaray at home this week.

"In accordance with the decision made by our board of directors, our player Guilherme Sitya's captaincy has been terminated, and he has been left out of the squad. Additionally, as per the decision, the first captaincy has been entrusted to our player Adil Demirbağ, and the second captaincy has been assigned to Deniz Türüç."
