According to initial reports, after an explosion on the first floor of an apartment building in Karachi, Pakistan, part of the building collapsed, resulting in the deaths of 13 people, including 4 children, and 14 others injured. According to a report by Pakistan's Geo News channel, an explosion occurred on the first floor of a three-story apartment building in Karachi. The cause of the explosion, which is not yet known, led to part of the building collapsing.
13 PEOPLE HAVE DIED
According to initial assessments, 13 people, including 4 children, lost their lives in the explosion, and 14 others were injured. Rescue teams dispatched to the scene managed to save some individuals from the rubble of the apartment.
RESCUE OPERATIONS CONTINUE
Search and rescue operations are ongoing for 2 individuals believed to be trapped under the rubble. The police stated that initial investigations suggest the explosion is thought to have been caused by a gas leak.
